Made up of 20 municipalities, the Pays Bigouden is a region where you will find a wide range of activities: hiking (on foot or by bike), water sports, and discovering the local flora and fauna. PLACE TO FIND YOUR SOUVENIRS : PONT-L’ABBE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Pont-l\u2019Abb\u00e9 is a charming town, with its pretty cobbled streets and small harbor. It is very lively thanks to its local shops and is the perfect place to find souvenirs to bring back to your loved ones. Pont-l\u2019Abb\u00e9 is also the capital of the beautiful Pays Bigouden.<\/p>\n

Would you like to learn more about the Pays Bigouden? Visit the Bigouden Museum<\/a><\/strong>, where you can discover the history of Bigouden traditions and its famous traditional costumes. If you visit around 14 July, you may be lucky enough to attend the F\u00eate des Brodeuses<\/strong><\/a>. This festival is a wonderful opportunity to admire traditional costumes and Breton dances.<\/p>\n

The port of Pont-l\u2019Abb\u00e9 was once renowned as an important trading hub. It is located opposite the Bigouden Museum and offers a lovely view of the bridge, one of the few inhabited bridges in France. We also recommend stopping by the Pont-l\u2019Abb\u00e9 Biscuit Factory<\/a> <\/strong>to taste some Breton specialties\u2014you might even slip a few into your suitcase for the journey home.<\/p>\n

Our favorite experience? Walking along the town\u2019s harbor, passing the monument dedicated to the Bigoudens<\/strong><\/a>. The walk begins on the Chemin du Halage<\/strong>, a 4.8 km route where you can admire the Pont-l\u2019Abb\u00e9 River and the birds that live there.<\/p>\n

Feeling a little hungry? Treat yourself to a pastry from Mocha Blanc<\/a> <\/strong>on Place Gambetta, or stop for a delicious meal at L\u2019Essentiel<\/strong><\/a> on Place de la R\u00e9publique.<\/p>\n

A CHARMING SMALL TOWN : COMBRIT – SAINTE-MARINE<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Odet River runs alongside our hotel and is perfect for scenic walks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Take some time to stroll down to the charming port of Sainte-Marine (passing by the small Sainte-Marine chapel) and pause for a few minutes to admire the sea, the boats, and the lovely view over B\u00e9nodet. Then stop at L\u2019Abri du Marin<\/strong><\/a>, a small pink house that symbolizes sailors\u2019 life and preserves the legacy of its founder, Jacques de Th\u00e9zac. Today, it hosts temporary exhibitions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be sure to visit Pointe de Combrit<\/strong>. To get there, you can follow the coastal customs officers\u2019 path (Chemin des Douaniers) that runs along the river. You will pass the Sainte-Marine lighthouse, and if you continue, you will spot the Napoleonic fort before reaching the point.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who enjoy relaxing by the sea, Kermor Beach<\/strong> or Treustel Beach<\/strong> are perfect spots to unwind and soak up the sun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our favorite experience:<\/strong> for lovers of the sea and discovery, take some time during your stay to visit the Gl\u00e9nan Islands<\/strong> with Vedettes de l\u2019Odet.<\/a> On the agenda: fine sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and island exploration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Guilvinec is renowned for its fishing harbor. To see this for yourself, head to Haliotika<\/a> \u2013 the Fishing Discovery Center<\/strong>, where you can watch the fishing boats return and, for the more curious, discover behind-the-scenes access to the fish auction.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can then enjoy a walk past the Le Guilvinec lighthouse<\/strong>, the Saint-Tr\u00e9meur Chapel<\/strong>, and the boat cemetery<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Feeling hungry? We recommend An Atoll<\/strong><\/a> and Le Poisson d\u2019Avril<\/strong><\/a>, both specializing in seafood, as well as Entre Nous<\/strong><\/a>, which offers a lovely menu of dishes to share.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just a few minutes away by car, you can reach Penmarc\u2019h<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This town is famous for the Eckm\u00fchl Lighthouse<\/strong><\/a>, with its 290 steps to climb. At the top, you\u2019ll be rewarded with a breathtaking 360\u00b0 view over Penmarc\u2019h, the old lighthouse, and Pointe de Saint-Pierre<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t miss K\u00e9rity<\/strong>, Ster Beach<\/strong>, the Chapel of La Madeleine<\/strong> and its standing stones.<\/span><\/p>\n

A little corner of paradise\u2014don\u2019t hesitate to walk all the way to the tip of the point to watch the waves crash against the rocks. It\u2019s a spectacular sight, and even more beautiful at sunset.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you visit in April<\/strong>, you\u2019ll be lucky enough to stroll through stunning tulip fields<\/strong>. Don\u2019t forget to stop by the installation that changes every year and is created entirely from tulips.<\/span><\/p>\n
